Pokémon GO City Safari Arrives in Sydney for Australia’s First Ever Safari Event

Get ready, Trainers.
Pokémon GO is bringing its City Safari experience Down Under for the very first time. On December 13 and 14, 2025, Sydney will transform into a citywide playground for Pokémon GO fans as part of Pokémon GO City Safari: Sydney.
Across two full days (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. AEDT), players can explore iconic Sydney landmarks — from Circular Quay to Manly Beach — while completing challenges, collecting stamps, and encountering special Pokémon in the wild.
Tickets start at AUD$19, with optional add-ons for raid enthusiasts and egg hatchers, plus a two-day upgrade for $14.
A highlight of the event is the Pokémon GO Stamp Rally, which takes players to seven key locations including Darling Harbour, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and Centennial Park.
Completing the rally earns Trainers encounters with Eevee wearing an adorable explorer hat.
Pokémon like Mudbray, exclusive for City Safari 2025, will roam Sydney’s streets.
Trainers can also enjoy event perks such as extended Lure Modules, bonus trades, and the chance for their Buddy Pokémon to find a special Tiny Compass souvenir.
Fans visiting Darling Harbour can swing by the official City Safari booth near Darling Square to grab an exclusive Pikachu sun visor giveaway.
Whether you’re a Sydney local or flying in for the adventure, Pokémon GO City Safari promises a unique blend of sightseeing, exploration, and Pokémon fun — all set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
Tickets are available now via the Pokémon GO app under Events. Grab your Poké Balls and walking shoes — Sydney’s first City Safari awaits.
