PAX Aus 2026 Reveals Huge Line-Up

PAX Aus is just weeks away, and the 2026 show floor is starting to take shape. SEGA, Activision, Square Enix and Ubisoft are among the publishers heading to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 11 October, alongside more than 90 games across the indie showcases.

There is a lot to get through, so here is what has been announced so far.

Big games to play and see

SEGA is bringing four playable games to PAX Aus. Attendees can try Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000, Alien: Isolation 2, Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4 Revival. That is a pretty varied line-up, and one worth making time for if you are heading in.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will also be playable ahead of its 23 October launch, with a selection of Multiplayer available to eligible attendees.

Square Enix is bringing FINAL FANTASY XIV Online back to PAX, including playable Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay, a bracelet-making activity and a themed photo opportunity. There is also a developer panel called A Realm Reburned, where Michael-Christopher Koji Fox and Toshio ‘Foxclon’ Murouchi will share stories from their time working on the game while tackling a hot sauce challenge.

Fans of FINAL FANTASY VII will get a look at FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION, the final chapter of the remake project, ahead of its planned 8 April 2027 release.

As always, the smaller games are a big part of PAX. More than 90 titles will be spread across the Aus Indie Showcase, PAX Rising and New Zealand’s Centre of Digital Excellence. If you like finding something you have never heard of and then spending the rest of the weekend telling people to play it, there should be plenty to explore.

PCs, controllers and a prize-filled sandpit

Mwave has found a fairly literal take on “build your own” this year. Its stand will feature a sandpit and a remote-controlled excavator that attendees can use to dig for prizes, alongside PC hardware and guest appearances throughout the weekend.

Aftershock PC is bringing new builds, playable demos, creators, cosplayers and a racing simulator. A limited number of visitors can also pick up an Aftershock Journey Book, collect stamps from six themed stalls and enter a draw to win one of two custom PCs.

At PowerA, attendees can try the Meridian Flight Controller for Xbox and PC before its planned 2027 release. Bajo will be at the stand on Saturday and Sunday, and PowerA is running an online discount during PAX week.

ASUS Republic of Gamers will sponsor the PC Tournaments & Freeplay area. Bluemouth Interactive, Thermaltake, Keychron, Clever Gear, Electronic Rebellion and Turtle Beach are also among the hardware exhibitors.

Esports and things to do around the show

Ubisoft’s Community & Esports Stage will host the Rainbow Six Siege APL Oceania Stage Finals, with four teams competing for a $40,000 prize pool and a place at the Osaka Major. The stage will also feature an Assassin’s Creed sea shanty singalong, cosplay, Just Dance and a chance to play a Siege 1v1 against Martin Copping, the voice of Mozzie. Ubisoft is also behind the Just Dance Party Stage in the Convention Centre foyer.

For EA SPORTS FC 27 players, the Red Bull Wings Cup is offering two wildcard spots at PAX. Amateur players can compete in seven-minute Rush Mode sessions on Saturday and Sunday, with the longest winning streak each day earning a place at the National Final in Sydney. Flights and accommodation are included for the two winners.

There will also be a Lexus racing simulator challenge, with a virtual version of a rare Lexus vehicle, a live leaderboard and prizes across the weekend.

Elsewhere, eBay Live is making its PAX Aus debut with live shows, special drops and a Collectors Club House. Superloop returns as the sponsor of the Aus Indie Showcase and Main Theatre. Crunchyroll, BlackMilk and Secretlab will be there too, while Kraken and Twitch will host a Creator Lounge.

And when you need some time away from the noise, Beyond Blue and The Inclusion Project will be in the AFK Room, offering a quiet space with sensory tools and support from occupational therapists.

There is still more to be announced before the doors open. For now, PAX Aus 2026 looks like it will have plenty to fill three days, whether you are lining up for a major release, checking out new tech or wandering the indie booths looking for your next favourite game.
